Cost £55 per person + camping. This is very cheap for this kind of course - it has been subsidised by the BCU. The club may also be prepared to subsidise you further. Ask Vanny.

Aimed at students who are responsible for club events and trips. The programme for the weekend will be a mix of presentations, discussion groups and practical sessions covering… Risk and responsibility, Advance play and safe styles for Novices, White water safety and leadership, First aid for paddlers, River trip planning, Overseas trips, and personal skills as well as looking at the legal responsibilities within the club structure, transport and maintenance and monitoring of club equipment.

Course has a modular mix-and-match structure.
