Liverpool University Canoe Club

Welcome to our club! LUCC is one of the most active clubs of Liverpool University - we have trips nearly every weekend during term time, as well as weekly pool sessions, lots of socials, and Easter/Summer trips to Scotland/the French Alps.  Among other things, we do: beginner sessions, river running, flatwater skills training, polo, slalom, wwr, surfing and playboating, so there is something for everyone.

We meet on Thursday evenings in the University Pool during term time. And also on some Wednesday afternoons. There we coach beginners, practice skills, do flatwater playboating and play polo. Then we retire to the AJ pub, next to Blackwells.

At weekends we go on trips - easy rivers, hard rivers, surf, polo, slalom, touring, wildwater, Lake district, Wales, Scotland, Yorkshire.

In the summer, we go to the Alps.

We have a lot of socials. LUCC went to every AU social night this year, and no fancy dress theme was ever repeated.

Liverpool University Canoe Club is part of Sport Liverpool, the athletic union of Liverpool University. We are a BCU (British Canoe Union) affiliated club.
