To email someone in the club, see the Contacts page.
We use two email tools to keep in touch with what’s going on – suggest you join both so that you don’t miss out on any thing that is going on.
Any problems subscribing or unsubscribing, contact webadmin@lucanoe.info or LUCanoeClub-owner@yahoogroups.com
The email list is run by yahoogroups. Anything you send to that list goes to everyone – the whole club - so obviously use it sensibly – trip announcements and stuff that you do really want to send to everyone. To avoid clogging everyones inboxes, use the forum instead for any banter. To email the list, email LUCanoeClub@yahoogroups.com , or hit “reply” on an email from the list. You can Browse Recent Emails at the yahoo site, or on the sidebar here at lucanoe.info. You can subscribe using the box above. You can unsubscribe by following “unsubscribe” instructions at the end of any email, or by sending a blank email to LUCanoeClub-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
The daily digest is an email newsletter service by Feedblitz, which sends you all new items from the front of this lucanoe.info webpage. That way, you get a copy of any trip announcements or trip reports straight to your inbox. It only sends you one email each day (or none, if there is nothing new on the front page.) You can subscribe using the box above, and unsubscribe by following instructions on the end of any daily digest email.
Both of these services are free to subscribe and to unsubscribe – you can unsubscribe at any time by following instructions on any email from the list, or by asking us.
Help If you are having trouble subscribing or unsubscribing, or with anything on the email, we can fix it – please write to: LUCanoeClub-owner@yahoogroups.com or webadmin@lucanoe.info or see us in the pool/pub.
Folk who can help you with subscribing/unsubscribing are: Laura B, Jon W, Helen H and Dinny.
Fresher email list
At the beginning of this Autumn term, we put the freshers on a seperate list, so that they could be sent fresher related announcements. The fresher list is also at yahoo. As of Nov 2008, everyone from that list has been moved to the “real” list. If you want to look back at previous announcements on that list, go to the group homepage at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LUCanoeFreshers/

Hi
I have been advised by Tammy Reed to contact the club via this site. I am an MSc Web Computing student I was wondering if you could help and or advise.
I want to send a questionnaire out via email as part of my MSc final project and I would like to know if I could use your opt in/ sign up list to the university club/ society?
I’m not overly sure who I should address my request to.
I intend to send out the questionnaires this week as time is pressing regarding completing the project (December deadline). If you wish to see the questionnaire prior to distribution I would be glad to send it to you. I am in the process of booking a computer lab so if any student wishes to take part in the computer lab they are more than welcome and I shall give details when the lab has been booked.
If you require any further details please do not hesitate in contacting me.
Regards,
Chris Marsden
Hi Chris, as per email, actually, the email list isn’t a perfect place to send a quesionairre round, unless its canoe related or related to the club etc. On the other hand, the forum is a good place to ask for help with that kind of thing, and folk in the canoe club are welcome to use the forum to ask each other for help with that kind of thing, cheers, Helen
i love your site……
